In April 2025, Take One Sportswear officially launched its inaugural Football ROAM Series, expanding its athlete-focused storytelling platform into one of the most competitive landscapes in high school sports.

Built to spotlight elite young athletes and the culture surrounding the game, the series combines original content, performance apparel, and authentic storytelling to highlight the individuals shaping football's next generation.

The launch marked another milestone in Take One's commitment to creating opportunities for athletes to share their stories, express their identities, and build their presence beyond the field.

This wasn't just a rollout. It was a mission in motion.

Introducing the Next Generation of Football Talent

The inaugural Football ROAM Series brought together four highly regarded student-athletes representing some of the most competitive high school football programs in the region.

Each athlete entered the series with an impressive resume, but ROAM was designed to capture more than rankings and recruiting recognition. It was an opportunity to highlight the personalities, ambitions, and journeys behind the talent.

Jireh Edwards | St. Frances Academy

A five-star safety in the Class of 2026, Jireh Edwards entered the series as one of the nation's most highly regarded defensive prospects.

Representing Baltimore's St. Frances Academy, Edwards brought exceptional instincts, explosive range, and vocal leadership to the field.

Recognized among the top defensive backs in his recruiting class, Edwards had already established himself as a key presence within one of the nation's premier high school football programs.

As he prepared for his senior campaign, his focus remained on building his legacy and continuing his development at the highest level.

Carter Meadows | Gonzaga College High School

Representing Washington, D.C., Carter Meadows brought power, precision, and relentless energy to the Football ROAM Series.

The Class of 2026 edge rusher from Gonzaga College High School had emerged as one of the area's top football prospects, showcasing his ability to disrupt opposing offenses with strength, athleticism, and determination.

With aspirations of helping Gonzaga compete for a WCAC championship, Meadows represented the combination of competitive drive and personal ambition at the center of the ROAM platform.

Raylaun Henry | St. Frances Academy

One of the younger athletes featured in the inaugural series, Raylaun Henry represented the next wave of elite football talent.

A four-star cornerback in the Class of 2027, Henry entered the series with national recruiting recognition and a reputation for his anticipation, coverage ability, and football intelligence.

Playing for St. Frances Academy, Henry continued developing his game against high-level competition while establishing himself as one of the standout defensive prospects in his class.

His participation demonstrated ROAM's commitment to recognizing promising athletes early in their journeys.

Carter Scruggs | Clemson Commit

At 6-foot-6, offensive lineman Carter Scruggs brought a commanding presence to the Football ROAM Series.

A highly regarded Class of 2026 prospect from Virginia, Scruggs had earned national recruiting attention through his size, technique, strength, and consistency in the trenches.

With a commitment to Clemson University, Scruggs represented the next generation of athletes preparing to transition from high school football to the collegiate stage.

But his focus extended beyond recruiting recognition. As he prepared for his senior season, Scruggs remained determined to finish his high school career by pursuing a championship in Loudoun County.

Building an Athlete-First Platform

While recruiting rankings and on-field accomplishments helped introduce the athletes, Take One designed ROAM around a larger purpose: helping young athletes develop their identities and share their stories before reaching the collegiate or professional level.

“We're not here to follow the blueprint—we're here to rewrite it. The Roam Series is about more than showcasing talent. It's about giving these athletes the experience and tools they need from day one to be successful, so they're prepared well before they even get to the next level,” said Kendric Hawkins, Head of Football at Take One Sportswear.

Through original photography, athlete features, creative direction, and performance apparel, Take One aims to give student-athletes an opportunity to be recognized for more than their statistics.

Expanding the ROAM Vision

The Football ROAM Series followed the success of Take One's Basketball ROAM Series, which completed its second season in February 2025.

The expansion into football represented a natural progression for the platform and reinforced Take One Sportswear's commitment to the intersection of sports, creativity, and athlete development.
